Submission Guidelines

Submission Guideline for Kids Standard Publication:

We are Kids Standard Publication. We motivate, activate, and celebrate children’s creativity.

We encourage and welcome your submissions. To make our Magazine exciting and stimulating, we welcome any tips, advice, and ideas from you and your parents, friends and teachers.

Categories for submissions:

Social studies, science and math, creativity (projects), health, movies and book reviews, events of the month, feature articles, music and art, who you admire, artwork, games and cartoons, parents’ corner, professional corner, teachers’ corner.

Please submit any material to us by email at kids@kidsstandard.org, OR call us at 248-410-3976.

For Young Writers:
Interested in submitting your own or your child’s original work to Kids Standard? We’re more than happy to consider! Submissions may vary from artwork to book reviews to poetry to position and research articles – anything that is created by you and may be published in our magazine or on our website! Please take a look at our editorial calendar to see what we are planning to cover each month. It is essential that this is your own work. Even if you have used some resources to help you, we still need you to write from your own prospective.

Here are a few things you should know first:

  1. All kids’ submissions need to be sent to kids@kidsstandard.com.
  2. If a submission is chosen to go to print, Kids Standard will notify you by email. If minor edits are needed, we will make corrections.
  3. Please write the title of your submission at the top, followed by your name, grade, school, and city.
  4. Your submission must be signed and approved by one of your teachers.
  5. Your parents must approve that Kids Standard Publication Inc, Michigan is authorized to publish your work. A permission form will have to be received prior to any printing release.
  6. Articles: All articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word format as an attachment (no scanned originals, please).
  7. Artwork and Images: should have a minimum of a 200dpi resolution. Kids Standard will accept most file formats, including: jpg, eps, tiff, pdf, etc. However, please do not send images as a Word document. Send images as separate files.
  8. If you used sources to help you with your research, please include a list of these sources, including who wrote them, their titles, and where they were published. If you are submitting images to go along with your article, you must indicate the origin of these images.

For Educators and Parents:
We are looking for educators and parents to share their practical knowledge, experiences, ideas, and thoughts on various aspects of educational practices and meaningful learning. Read our editorial calendar, and consider publishing in Kids Standard! We would like to give teachers and parents practical, doable strategies and information from the most trustworthy sources—the colleagues and experts working in the education field. We welcome research-based submissions as well as your own examples. When submitting articles, please write the issue theme in the subject line of your e-mail.

  2. Text: your article should be 500 words or less and offer brief, practical content.
  3. Please write the title of your submission at the top, followed by your name, title, school, and city.
